What is Coaching?
ICF (International Coach Federation) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Coaching accelerates individual growth by offering us a more efficient and conscious way of focusing on our targets and on the consequent choices to put in place.
Focusing on specific targets enables people to set their own never “imagined” perspectives and find the necessary inner resources to develop their own personal and professional growth (along the lines of the Socratic method).
What does Coaching “produce”?
Awareness, self-confidence, personal commitment, a proactive attitude, responsibility and an increasing personal balance.
How does Coaching work?
The development of a Coaching pathway is centred on a specific topic in which the client needs to clarify ideas or find solutions. The approach is pragmatic, not therapeutic. Each session lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, with an interval of two weeks between sessions.
It can either be done face-to-face or via Skype or phone.
A Coaching pathway can go from 3 to 10 sessions, depending on the topic and on the client’s needs.
It may be interrupted at any moment upon request of the client.
